We have received some useful information from members of the public, but unfortunately the woman who witnessed the incident has not yet contacted us.

The girl was waiting for a train at around 11am when she was approached by a male who began making inappropriate remarks. "The victim was clearly uncomfortable with the situation and managed to get the attention of another female on the platform by mouthing the word 'Help'

The woman came to the girl’s aid by pretending to be a long lost friend and stayed with the girl until the train arrived. "The suspect is believed to have approached a number of other females whilst onboard the Shepperton to Waterloo service.

Anyone who can assist police with their inquiries is asked to contact freefone 0800 40 50 40 quoting background log B5 of 10/7/08.
